Diagnostic Process
Engineers Inspect by Risk Priority and Recovery Chain

First confirm the affected area, current risk and maximum allowable interruption, including whether ventilation, water, aeration, incubation, cold-chain or wastewater critical loads are affected.

Review generator, ATS, low-voltage distribution and end equipment, and prepare alarm codes, controller photos, operating data and timeline.

Check whether power, controls, sensors and communications recovered together, and prepare ATS, switchboard, fuel-system, cooling-system and affected-equipment photos.

Confirm recovery through test running, staged loading or on-site testing, retaining site contact, operating authorization, biosecurity entry requirements and maintenance window.
When an On-Site Inspection Is Required
These Conditions Require On-Site Inspection, Not Remote Observation Alone
- The fault has affected critical ventilation, drinking water, aeration, incubation, cold-chain, biosecurity or wastewater loads.
- There are repeated trips, abnormal heat, mechanical noise, oil or water leakage, a burning smell or another electrical-safety risk.
- Remote information cannot distinguish generator, ATS, distribution, control and equipment-side problems, or cannot prove end-load recovery.

To Find Problems Before an Outage, Every Inspection Must Be Recorded and Reviewable
Preventive Checks
- Create a critical-load and allowable-interruption list, recording whether ventilation, water, aeration, incubation, cold-chain or wastewater critical loads are affected.
- Include the generator, ATS, low-voltage distribution, control power and end equipment in the same simulated-outage test.
- Set seasonal inspection and spare-parts plans for heat, cold snaps, heavy rain and remote refueling conditions.
Maintenance Routine
- Consistently retain alarm codes, controller photos, operating data and timeline.
- Consistently retain ATS, switchboard, fuel-system, cooling-system and affected-equipment photos.
- Consistently retain site contact, operating authorization, biosecurity entry requirements and maintenance window, including corrective-action owner and closure time.
Engineering Recommendation
Remote review provides rapid triage and prepares information; any issue affecting critical-load recovery, electrical safety or requiring hands-on testing must enter the on-site service process.
