Dormitory backup normally prioritizes safety and essential living needs: corridor lighting, access control, network core, necessary pumps, emergency announcements and selected common areas. HVAC, noncritical outlets and comfort equipment can restart later according to capacity, budget and runtime.
Document low-noise operation, safe generator separation, night procedures and inspection intervals. For schools, staff ability to understand alarms, report with photos and contact service can matter more than a complex configuration.
